Hope is sanity

They say that ignorance is bliss,
 But knowledge is far the greatest wealth,
And Memory will retain all this:
                          If the mind remains in good health;

But all that Memory loves the most
Are past moments of sheer delight,
Without poor ignorance's ghost,
 For pleasures ignorance can blight.

Alas! 'tis tragically sad,
When e're time ravages the mind,
And one can thus become quite mad
 And leave such Memories behind.
