Polarity

Polarity is one of the main governing factors of nature in all respects. It is intrinsic to the nucleus force that determines the perpetual motion of solar systems, the mutation of atoms and the creation of electronic energy and neutrons. Yet polarity itself, like the stars it governs, is also in constant evolution.

I have often wondered about this phenomenon, applying it to a simple, and perhaps naive philosophy based on the rule of opposites, and the assumption that nothing can exist without its equivalent contrary. But it's not just a simple, 'polarised opinion'.

One can use the theory of colour as a first example. As we all know, there are three primary colours that blended together create the rainbow and are the transparent components of white light (daylight). Their opposing colours are components of the other two primary colours, similar to the rule of three, or the "golden rule".

Red + yellow = orange (which is the opposite colour of blue)
Blue + yellow = green (which is the opposite colour of red)
Red + blue = violet (which is the opposite colour of yellow)

secondary colours- green + violet = 'silver' (third final hue)
secondary colours- orange+ green = 'gold' (third final hue)

We see this transformation of opposing colours in nature, through the seasons, or simply when the sun rises and sets. The violet colours of dawn gradating to their opposite yellows as the sun comes up, or in reality as the earth turns. The seasonal transformation of the colour of green leaves turning to their opposite colour red before reaching their final hue of gold. The magical circle of life and death.

There are the biological and anatomical polarities determining genes, attraction, governing conception, senses, balance, movement and growth. The polarity of reason- in politics (the general use of left and right wings to differentiate between the main oppositions), in religion (the opposing spiritual conceptions of Heaven and Hell), in justice (punishment or recompense determined by truth conforming to reality or fact as opposed to what is false, unreal or fictive). There is of course geographical polarity. Naturally it can be applied to everything.

If something takes place there is a natural, physical reason for it, however positive or negative the results may be. Such a conviction can represent a considerable reconciliatory force enabling one to come to terms with life by believing in its power and order. By understanding that Nature does not recognise 'hazard'. That there is a reason for everything by the very fact that it exists- or that it has taken place, and this no matter how wonderful or how terrible it may be.
By extension one could also believe that there is a reason for natural evolution in all its forms, including that determined purposefully, or caused inadvertently, by man.

But it would be pretentious to believe that there is such a simple common denominator. There are infinite nuances in life as there are shades of colour. Discords determining circumstances, accidents, catastrophes, malformation, illness, abnormal behaviour and different attitudes. There are the relatively insignificant circumstances and coincidences that bring about the significant, historical events.
And there are the miracles of natural beauty that cannot be explained, because one cannot apply them to any Darwinian theory of evolution, of laws of survival or of cause and effect. Yet they exist therefore they are an intrinsic part of this unfathomable, universal truth.

If man's survival has always depended on his unique ability to reason, it would be unreasonable to believe he would be capable of becoming irresponsible enough to destroy himself and an extraordinarily beautiful planet that he still has as much to learn from, as he has from the entire universe (astrological and microscopical). It would be more reasonable to believe that his destiny is unlimited. That with the same humility as Noah, perhaps man will be inspired, if not obliged, to create the means to save and perpetuate life elsewhere. In fact it would not be unreasonable to believe that in his innocence and unawareness, this is also his destiny, responsibility and essential reason of being.

colori secondari - verde + violetto = argento (terza tinta finale)
colori secondari - arancio + verde = oro (terza tinta finale)
